Plasma - What is plasma-cutting technology?
In simplest terms, plasma cutting is a process that uses a high velocity jet of ionized gas that is delivered from a constricting orifice. The high velocity ionized gas, that is, the plasma, conducts electricity from the torch of the plasma cutter to the work piece. The plasma heats the work piece, melting the material. The high velocity stream of ionized gas mechanically blows the molten metal away, severing the material.

Waterjets - What is a Waterjet?
A Waterjet cutting system, is an industrial tool capable of cutting a wide variety of materials using a high-pressure pump. The water is then pumped out of a hydraulic pump through a very small orifice, where pressure meets resistance. Waterjets can achieve pressures over 60,000 psi (4100 bars).

CNC Routers - What is a CNC Router?
CNC routers are cutting machine in which material is removed from a sheet by a rotating tool (spindle). In CNC routing the cutting tool is moved mainly in two dimensions (except for plunging on the Z axis) to achieve the desired part shape. In CNC routing the cutting tool usually rotates about an axis that is perpendicular to the table that holds the material to be cut. A cutting tool hovers over the material from a rotating spindle. A sheet of material is placed on a stationary table below the cutter. While the cutting tool turns, a computer controls the motion of the cutter. The cutter is guided to move through the material, removing portions to create shapes.
OXY Fuel cutting - What is Oxy fuel cutting?
Oxy-fuel cutting of metal is, using a different type of gas torch, called a cutting torch. Here the metal is heated until it glows orange (around 1800°F = 982°C), then a stream of oxygen passes through the work-piece, to burn the steel away where the cut is desired. The iron-oxide product of this combustion process falls to the floor or bottom of the cutting table as a dust.
